Dr. Orr is a social scientist who uses statistics to study U.S. health policy and political polarization. Her current research primarily relies on surveys and large administrative data sets to answer questions about cause and effect in U.S. politics. She received a Ph.D. in Political Science from Yale University in 2021 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University before joining the University of Richmond.
